2012 Redistricting Information
After the recent redistricting, the City of Richfield received the new legislative district boundary line. The City is still located in Congressional District No. 5. However, redistricting has now split the City into Senate Districts 50 and 63. This also changes the City’s house districts. The City ofRichfield is now located in House District 50A (southern and westerly part of the City) and House District 63B (central and north-easterly part of the City.) To accommodate the shifting legislative district boundary line, the City had to realign its ward and precinct boundaries.
Richfield residents should be aware that, due to the changes in precinct boundaries, they may no longer live in the same precinct or vote at the same polling location as they did in previous elections. Registered voters in Richfield will receive a postcard in early July, prior to the primary election on Tuesday, August 14, to notify them of their current polling place. The general election will be Tuesday, November 6.
