Property Inspection Program

Below are some comparisons between 2005, 2006, and 2007 statistics relating to property inspections. It should be noted that in 2005 there was no Neighborhood Inspection Program and the CSO hours were 28 to 32 per week. In July 2006 we initiated the Neighborhood Inspection Program and expanded the CSO hours from 28 to 32 hours per week for the first half of the year and 36 hours per week for the last three months of the 2006 Neighborhood Inspection Program. In 2007 the CSO hours were 36 hours per week over the entire Neighborhood Inspection Program period.

2007:
• 3897 Total Inspections (This represents a 44% increase over 2006.)
• 398 Proactive Inspections

2006:
• 2694 Total Inspections (This represents a 58% increase over 2005.)
• 461 Proactive Inspections

2005:
• 1702 Total Inspections
• 704 Proactive Inspections

Based on the above statistics, it appears that the numbers clearly demonstrate that the Neighborhood Inspection Program and the increased CSO hours available for inspections have dramatically expanded our program.
